GY95 Trails are run solely by volunteers and your assistance is critical in ensuring they are safe and ready for use throughout the active season.
Please respect the volunteers and the hard work they put in to maintaining the trails.
Please do not walk over the trails when the area is wet as it could lead to unnecessary damage and repairs may be required.
Please do not allow your dog to run onto any of the trails lines as it could result in a rider being injured.
It is advised that all users wear a helmet and pads when using the trails. Helmets, equipment and bikes can be borrowed through annual membership. Please contact a volunteer for more information.
Our expectation is that users of the trails contribute to the upkeep of the site. This means sweeping, wetting and dusting lines before use. Equipment required to do this can be found next to the water bowsers.
The site is equipped with litter bins that can be found next to the mini-ramp and container. Please utilise these bins to dispose of any litter.
All bikes used on the site must be in good working order and safe for use.
Under 16's are required to have a working brake. Please contact a volunteer for advice on the minimum requirements for bike safety.
All users are reminded that they are responsible for their belongings. Please take reasonable precautions to ensure your belongings are safe.
Please consider the technical skill required to safely ride certain areas of the trails. Only ride sections that you are comfortable with and do not ride when intoxicated.
The trails are solely for the use of BMX and dirt jump bikes, please do not use anything with hard wheels such as skateboards, scooters or rollerblades as it could lead to unnecessary damage and repairs may be required.
We do not tolerate bullying or harassment. At times, dog walkers and members of the public may pass the area and we insist that all users practice common courtesy.
In case of an EMERGENCY please call 999, if you are unable to do so find a volunteer to call for you.

FAQs
Do I need a helmet?
Yes, your safety is our priority.
Do you rent bikes?
We have some bikes available but we can’t guarantee they will be available on the day.
Do you get paid?
Yes, but not in money! We are all volunteers and our payment is seeing our community grow, using the facilities and watching the scene grow year on year.
Who maintains the trails, and can I help?
The trails are maintained by local people who have a passion for BMX and community spirit. We are always looking for helping hands. Please check in with Stanny or Sas before starting for guidance. Everyone can play their part in keeping the trails clean by using the litter bins provided at the site.
When can I ride?
Generally the trails can be used from April to October providing it is not soaking wet. We always advise not to use the trails when they are wet, as this damages the transition of the trails.
Are you building new lines?
The trails are always evolving. But generally the lines stay the same every year with little improvements year after year. New ideas are always welcome.
Can you give me some general information about riding trails?
Of course! You’ve come to the right place. It generally takes around 3 years to build and tweak a line of jumps to get them to flow together and meet our standard of hitting the sweet spot. Winter is a great time for building, allowing the trails to be ready for the summer. Buck beck is the life line to our trails, it is a source of water that is critical in keeping the jumps watered. Sometimes it can get rather windy at the trails, but thankfully we have some trees surrounding the site that helps ease that. In severe weather, the wind may stop the trails from running.
Can I turn up and ride?
Yes, but you need to become a member before riding. Head to the membership page to join.
